The Mindfulness at Work Leadership Retreat is designed for women leaders that are focused on cultivating mindfulness to enhance their experience and effectiveness at work and in life. This retreat will be focused on exploring our Shadow. The content will be grounded in a highly practical and scientifically based approach to understanding mindfulness and the important connection to a thriving life.
Core Learning Areas
What is Mindfulness? We will examine the many facets of mindfulness, the role mindfulness plays in a thriving workplace, and how mindfulness changes the brain.
Exploring our Shadow Sides: Our Shadow as defined by Jungian psychology is “everything outside of the light of consciousness”. In simple terms our shadow is our personal “blind spot”. This could include our less desirable qualities that are difficult to accept or it can point to our ‘golden shadow” which are the strengths we may not recognize in ourselves. We will explore how these core elements are critical to our role as a leader and how mindfulness is critical to increase our light of awareness to effectively integrate all parts of ourselves.
Making it Last: We will build an understanding of the importance of rituals for lasting change. The brain science and other important research will be examined, along with the application to work and life
The desired outcome of the Mindfulness at Work Retreat is for participants to leave with clear strategies to cultivate mindfulness and increase self-awareness so that we can avoid the pitfalls of our shadow sides. The focus is to increase overall wellbeing as a leader with improved engagement, productivity, self-care and overall performance in the workplace.
