The Emotionally Intelligent Leader: Mindfulness Retreat is designed for women leaders that are focused on cultivating mindfulness to enhance their experience and effectiveness at work and in life. This retreat will be focused on exploring emotion. The content will be grounded in a highly practical and scientifically based approach to understanding mindfulness and the important connection to a thriving life.

Core Learning Areas

What is Mindfulness? We will examine the many facets of mindfulness, the role mindfulness plays in a thriving workplace, and how mindfulness changes the brain. 

Building Emotional Intelligence:  Emotional intelligence (EI) refers to the capacity to perceive, process and regulate emotional information accurately and effectively both within oneself and in others.   We will build and practice EI skills.  

Making it Last: We will explore the setting of intentions for lasting change. The brain science and other important research will be examined, along with the application to work and life.

Desired Outcomes
Participants will leave with clear strategies to cultivate mindfulness and emotional intelligence with a focus on improving capacity for motivation, resilience, connectedness, communication, conflict management, stress reduction, self-care and overall wellbeing.

Who Should Attend?
Any woman with an interest in mindfulness and self-discovery.  You don’t have to be in a leadership role at a workplace.  We believe that every woman has the capacity to be a leader in any environment whether at work, at home or in the community.

Fee Structure

$995 + HST for double occupancy (room shared with a woman attending the workshop-based on availability)
$1,160 + HST for single occupancy (own room)

Meghan Kirwin, MBA, MSc

Meghan is one of the co-founders of Vitality at Work. Her passion is to support individuals and organizations to realize their full potential through the application of positive psychology.   She has a Master’s in Business Administration specializing in Leadership and Organizational Behaviour. She also has a Masters of Science in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of East London, England.
