Mindful Body: Building new habits with awareness
This program will help you to see your body through a different lens. A lens of curiosity, appreciation and trust. Using mindfulness techniques we’ll practice body awareness to help you get in touch with cues such as hunger, satiety, stress, emotion and fatigue. We will work on accepting where you are right now while tapping into your strengths to help you get where you want to be. You will gain insight into what might be holding you back from achieving your health goals. You will also learn tools to get at the roots of your behavior and strategies to help you follow your intuition toward more nourishing health habits.
Core Learning Areas
Each week the Mindful Body Program will focus on listening to our internal cues, aligning with our strengths and honoring our bodies for optimal health. The following areas are core to the learning experience:
Changing your perspective on your body changes everything. Your past struggles will begin to fade as you refocus on the new habits you are drawn to. You will no longer have to create goals for yourself that are based on willpower. Instead you will be able to set yourself up for success by grounding your new habits in your signature strengths.
Heidi Smith, Registered Dietician, is one of the Co-Founders of Vitality At Work. She will be the lead facilitator for this program. Each session will be presented in our live online classroom using a small group format of 4 - 6 participants to ensure a great rapport and rich discussion.
Sessions and Fees
The 6 Week Mindful Body: Building new habits with awareness
The 6 Week Mindful Body will run online, Thursdays beginning March 30th until May 4th, 2017 from 12:00-1:15pm.
The fee is $295* + HST
Early Registration discount (before March 20th, 2017) $250 + HST
